Kidville: Classes, indoor play space, and more for 0-5: What do you think?

HI All:This is a little off topic, but what the heck....We have a Kidville here in my local area. I am very curious about the word on the street about the offerings and the quality of the interactions. It looks pretty fantastic for stay-at-home parents (note, I said parents, not mothers) but I wonder if the quality is as great as the environment appears. Your thoughts?http://www.kidville.com/Rockville/home/default.aspSee More

5 Strategies for Online Donations and Online Advocacy

Bad news: Nothing is ever as easy as it sounds.

Has a colleague, board member, or even a presenter or trainer ever suggested that you put a Donation or "Take Action" button on your web site and promised it "will be easy?" Guess what? It IS easy to get those tools installed on your site, but getting the actions and the donations is quite another story. Time and time again, nonprofit organization leaders moan that their tools are "not working." Face it: You are trying to get… Continue

Using Technology to Make Change in ECE Management

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a profoundly impatient person. I crave instant gratification. That's why I love the Internet-- I can get answers to questions in seconds and communicate my thoughts with the click of a mouse. My impatience, and my passion for advancing the field of early education drove me to start this group. You see, I've been in the field for more than 25 years, and I feel caught in a time warp. It seems to me that we are still working on the same issues we faced… Continue
